Wrecked

Wrecked - Alyssa Rose Ivy Jake just made one huge mistake and it was nearly deadly. His drinking has finally caught up to him and landed him in the hospital. The moment he opens his eyes, he sees an angel. Well, his nurse, but to him she is nothing less of a heavenly being. And Emily is all it took for him to turn his life around. She has saved him. Only problem is she is hiding a secret. Will the secret be too much for Jake to handle…sending him back to his old ways? Or will it only strengthen their growing romance?

You know what I love about this book? The fact that it is a continuation of the other books in the series. Some of the past characters make frequent visits, so we see their story isn't really over yet. It is like old friends stopping in to say hello. And all that does is bring a smile to my face when I see them mentioned. I love these characters something fierce and enjoy every time they come around. The best part? Knowing that this series could continue on for a while with some of the other characters. I see one and think of how perfect it would be to have Ivy write their story.

One other thing I adored about this story was the switching of POV’s between Jake and Emily. I cannot tell you which one I enjoyed more. Usually I am not one for male POV’s when the author is a female. Sometimes they cannot get them sounding right and they will come off sounding artificial But not with Ivy… she does a fantastic job making the whole story and characters believable.

Although the series didn’t start off as great for me with DERAILED…it did continue to get better with VEER and even more so with WREAKED. I am so glad we got to see that WREAKED is Jake’s story. I enjoyed him in VEER but absolutely loved him in this one. He is so sweet and adorable; it’s no wonder Emily fell for him. Heck, I would have too. But these two are so perfect for each other with their witty humor and obvious feelings for one another. Jake never stood a chance the minute he laid eyes on Emily when waking up for his coma. And neither did she.

I always find it hard writing a review for a book that is 3rd and so on in a series. Even though each of these books have their own characters and plot, it is still hard for me to talk about the book by itself without mentioning the other 2 before it or just talking about it as a whole. After all, at this point in the series, what more can you say but READ IT or DON’T READ IT! But I can promise this is one of those books you will definitely WANT to read. If you haven’t taken the time to read the first 2, then you are missing out. If you have, then get this one ASAP. It is just a given that you need to read it. And I think you will see that the series just keeps getting better and better as it goes on.
