Holy Mother of Mercy! This book...this wonderful book had me hook, line, and sinker.
Hook: wonderful, amazing, fun characters
Line: flippin' fabulous story line that devoured me
Sinker: the ending was sweet & powerful & tearful
I am so in love with Trick and Cami. I mean they are freakin' adorable together...so, so perfect for each other. How do you do it Leighton? How can you write these characters (some with quirky names...yes Trick, Nash, and Cash I am talking about you guys) and have us falling all over ourselves to get to know them better? You give us these guys that we want to sink our teeth into and never let go. Love, love, love them.
I loved the whole story line and setting. It was so much fun reading this book and picturing it my mind. Leighton describes it all as if I am watching it unfold before me on a tv screen. And let me tell you... picturing Trick shirtless...on a horse...in the summer heat....it's a beautiful thing. A beautiful, dirty thing. I was so surprised once again with the revelation Leighton laid out for us readers. I truly had other ideas on what the big deal would be and was so happy it wasn't what I thought. *whew*
Now that ending, that beautiful ending. So happy with how it all went down. Picture this...me standing in my kitchen...making waffles...tears in my eyes. Cause that is what happened. I was so absorbed in the book I didn't want to put it down. The story demanded my attention at the end and I willingly gave it. Only one problem I had with it...I missed Trick and Cami the second I read The Happily-Ever-After End.
Do I recommend you read The Wild Ones? Abso-freakin-lutely! This story is a must read that you will thank me later for recommending it. So in advance....You are welcome!
