Don't read if you haven't read Open Minds yet, my review will contain spoilers.
Ever since Kira outted the whole Mindjacker community, she hasn't been very well liked; not by the mindreaders and certainly not by the jackers. Mindreaders don't trust jackers who can breech their minds and make them do things they normally wouldn't do. And jackers don't trust Kira for giving away their ability making them targets now among the readers.
One day when Kira has a 'run in' with some jackers she starts learning new things about her self and other jackers. But things go from bad to worse when the government takes her father and her boyfriend, Raf, prisoner. So now Kira must help these jackers and an unsavory character from her past get her father and Raf back; and help save the other jackers from the government.
I was giddy with excitement when Quinn asked me to review Closed Hearts. I freaking loved Open Minds and knowing I was about to see more of Kira's story I could barely contain myself. The whole idea that Quinn came up with was genius...people 'talking' to each other via mindreading and others jacking their minds. And I believe that with Closed Hearts, the series just got better. I think people are going to love the new characters we get introduced to and continue to loathe some of the old ones.
Closed Hearts is an action packed page turner that kept me engrossed the entire book. I loved the pace of the story and before I knew it I was done. Closed Hearts leaves the reader wondering what Kira has up her sleeve for the next book that ends the trilogy. This is one series you will definitely want to read. (That’s an honest statement…I promise I am not trying to mindjack you.)
